Using Persistent Homology to Drive Interactive Graph Drawing
This research project was chosen by the Collaborative Research Experiences for Undergraduates for funding. I have been working with Dr. Rosen since April 2017 to leverage Topological Data Analysis to extract 0-dimensional or cluster-like features from force-directed graphs. We hope to create an interactive graph layout which will make analyzing large data sets easier by simplifying hairball-like and indistinguishable structures.
